Fundraising kicked off with a launching and information evening where an anonymous donation of $10,000 towards a target of $70,000 got the campaign off to a great start. Since then we have had donations of $25,000 from the Marlborough District Council and $14,000 from our own Havelock Community Association.
The Lions have raised over $1,100 from sausage sizzle sales at Bunnings and a raffle held at the Launch event, to bring the total raised so far to over $50,000.
